Building a Safe Wither Arena That Works With This Mod

Design Around the Mod's Behavior

Because the Wither can no longer break blocks, you can build an arena out of almost anything and it will hold up. That opens up designs that would normally be suicide, like fully enclosed rooms and tight corridors.

Arena Checklist

1. Choose a location away from your main base so player deaths and loot drops don't disrupt daily play.

2. Build solid walls and a ceiling. A roof stops the Wither from flying upward out of melee range.

3. Leave a clear entrance you can seal behind you, so the Wither can't wander into the rest of your world.

4. Add cover pillars or ledges inside. You can hide behind them safely since they won't be destroyed.

5. Light the arena so you can see projectiles coming, and place a bed or respawn point nearby for quick recovery.

6. Stock a chest outside the arena with spare armor, weapons, and milk buckets.

Testing the Arena

Summon the Wither once in a low-stakes trial. Watch how it moves in your space and adjust pillar spacing or ceiling height. Since blocks stay intact, you can iterate on the design without rebuilding after every attempt.
