Rename Your Lapis Gear on an Anvil

Use the Anvil for Custom Names

Lapis equipment can be freely renamed using a regular anvil, unlike some other restricted mod items. Place your lapis tool or armor piece in the anvil's input slot and type your desired name in the text field.

Confirm the rename by moving the item to your inventory. The renamed lapis item will keep its enchantment and function normally.

Important Limitations

While renaming works freely, you cannot use the grindstone to remove enchantments from lapis gear, and you cannot combine two lapis pieces on an anvil. These restrictions keep the mod balanced for survival mode—you're meant to craft new pieces rather than endlessly modify one set.

If you want to change an enchantment, craft a fresh lapis item to roll a new random level 1 enchantment instead.
