Get Your First Lapis Enchantment

Craft a Lapis Tool or Armor Piece

Gather lapis lazuli from mining (typically found below Y-level 32) and collect the secondary materials:

• For tools: lapis lazuli + sticks
• For armor: lapis lazuli + leather or other binding materials

Place these in your crafting table following the standard tool or armor recipe patterns. When you complete the craft, your new lapis item will automatically receive a random level 1 enchantment matched to its type.

What Enchantments You'll Get

Each piece receives a fitting starter enchantment:

• Helmets get Protection
• Chestplates get Protection
• Leggings get Protection
• Boots get Protection or Feather Falling
• Pickaxes get Efficiency
• Axes get Efficiency
• Shovels get Efficiency
• Swords get Sharpness
• Fishing rods get Lure or Luck of the Sea

You cannot control which exact enchantment you receive, but it will always be useful for that item's purpose. This gives you an immediate power boost without needing an enchanting table setup.
