Troubleshooting Axolotl Villager Display Issues
Common Visual Problems
If your axolotl villagers don't look right, check these factors. The pack is lightweight and usually works smoothly, but conflicts or settings can affect appearance.
Solutions to Try
1. Verify the pack is active – Check your resource pack list in settings. The axolotl pack should appear above the default textures in your load order.
2. Check your graphics settings – Ensure entity shadows are enabled and your render distance is adequate. Low graphics settings might hide texture details.
3. Reload the pack – Exit to the main menu and re-enter your world. This refreshes resource pack loading.
4. Test with other packs – Temporarily disable other resource packs to see if conflicts exist. Some packs modify entity rendering and may interfere.
5. Verify villager presence – Make sure you're actually looking at villagers, not other mobs. Axolotl villagers should have the distinctive axolotl model shape.
6. Check lighting – Poor lighting can make the axolotl texture details hard to see. Add more light sources and try again.
7. Update your game – Ensure you're running a compatible Minecraft version. Resource packs can behave differently across versions.
If issues persist, try reinstalling the pack fresh.
