Troubleshooting AutoRun Not Working or Cancelling Unexpectedly

AutoRun Stops Immediately After Toggling

If AutoRun cancels the moment you activate it, the most likely cause is that a movement key is being held or is registering as pressed. The mod cancels auto-walk on any manual movement input, so a stuck key, a controller axis, or a macro can trigger this. Release all movement keys, then press the toggle again. If you use a controller mod, check that its deadzone is not sending constant input.

Keybind Conflicts

If pressing the toggle key does nothing, another mod or a vanilla action may be bound to the same key. Open Controls and look for red conflict warnings on the AutoRun entries. Rebind AutoRun to a free key. Also confirm you are editing the correct profile if your launcher uses multiple control profiles.

Sprint Not Working While Auto-Walking

Sprinting while auto-walking uses your normal sprint key. If sprint does not engage, check that your hunger is high enough to sprint, that you are not in a state that prevents sprinting (such as being in water or sneaking), and that the sprint key is not conflicting. Toggle AutoRun first, then tap sprint. If it still fails, re-toggle AutoRun after tapping sprint, since the order of inputs can matter.

Mod Not Loading at All

AutoRun is client-side, so it must be installed on your client, not the server. If the keybind does not appear in Controls, the mod is not loaded. Verify it is in your mods folder and that it matches your Minecraft version and mod loader.
