Making the Mod Work With Modded Tools and Enchanted Gear

The mod is built to recognize modded tools, not just vanilla ones, but recognition depends on how those tools are set up. If a tool from another mod is not being swapped to, this guide walks through what to check.

Why a modded tool might be ignored

The mod decides which tool is "correct" for a block based on how the tool and block are registered. Tools that use standard tool classes or tags are picked up automatically. Tools that use custom mining logic, unusual harvest levels, or their own block-breaking system may not be recognized, because from the mod's point of view there is no matching tool for that block.

What you can do

First, confirm the tool is actually in your hotbar, not just your inventory, since the mod only swaps to hotbar slots. Second, try mining the block with the tool already selected to verify the tool genuinely works on it; if it does not, the mod has nothing to swap to. Third, check whether the block is broken by something other than a tool, such as a hoe on leaves or shears on wool, since those interactions follow their own rules.

Enchanted and damaged tools

Enchantments do not change whether a tool is recognized. The mod swaps based on tool type, not enchantment, so it will not prefer a Fortune pickaxe over a plain one. Durability is also not considered, so keep an eye on your tools if you rely on the swap during long mining trips.
