How to Stop the Mod From Swapping Your Tool While Mining
Sometimes you want to keep the tool you're holding, even if a "better" one sits in your hotbar. The mod gives you two ways to suppress the automatic swap, and they behave slightly differently.
Temporary suppression with sneak
Hold your sneak key (default: Shift) while you break the block. As long as you are sneaking at the moment the block breaks, the mod will not swap to another tool. This is the fastest option when you only want to skip the swap for one block or a short burst of mining.
Toggling the whole feature off
Press the toggle key (default: G) to disable automatic swapping entirely. While it is off, the mod stays out of the way no matter what you mine. Press the same key again to turn swapping back on. This is the better choice for long sessions where you deliberately want to use one tool, such as clearing dirt with a shovel while a pickaxe sits in your hotbar.
When to use which
Use sneak for one-off blocks, and the toggle key when your intent changes for a whole task. If swapping still happens, check that you are actually sneaking at the moment of the break, not just before it, and confirm you did not rebind the toggle key to something you also use for another action.
