Why Diamonds Glow Differently

With Aura Ores installed, diamond ore blocks emit a distinctive bright glow that cuts through cave darkness. This makes them visible from a distance, even when you're focused on mining other resources.

How to Find Them Efficiently

1. Mine at the right depth. Diamonds spawn most commonly in the lower underground layers. Head down to Y-level ranges where diamonds are most abundant.

2. Scan cave walls and ceilings. The glowing effect works best when you're actively looking around. Keep your view moving across stone surfaces as you explore.

3. Use the glow as a guide. When you spot the distinctive diamond ore glow, mark the location or head straight toward it. The visual enhancement removes the guesswork of distinguishing diamond ore from other ores in dim lighting.

4. Mine strategically. Once you've located a diamond vein, clear surrounding blocks carefully to avoid losing drops to lava or falling into caves below.

Pro Tip

The glow effect is most noticeable in complete darkness. Avoid placing torches directly on ore blocks, as the light can wash out the aura effect and make ores harder to spot.
