Getting Started with Nuclear Power

Begin by mining uranium ore and lead from the world. Process these raw resources through the alloy furnace and foundry system to create refined metals. Once you have uranium, you can craft uranium rods for fuel.

To build a reactor, construct the circular block pattern shown in the mod's screenshots. Place a Chicago Pile reactor at the core and surround it with water to manage heat. Install a Control Rod Controller to regulate the reaction—this lets you control how much uranium converts to plutonium-240 when a neutron source is nearby.

Monitor your reactor's temperature gauge constantly. If heat becomes dangerous, use the emergency scram system to shut down the reaction immediately. Remember that radioactive materials pose radiation hazards, so handle isotopes carefully and maintain distance when possible.
