Finding Mothspawn Eggs

Lunar Moths hatch from Mothspawn eggs, which can be obtained two ways: find them naturally spawned on steep mountain peaks, or have your Sniffer dig them up from dirt blocks. Sniffers will occasionally unearth these eggs during their normal digging behavior.

Hatching Eggs

Throw Mothspawn eggs on the ground to hatch them into Lunar Moths. The moths will spawn nearby and become tame. You can also find wild Lunar Moths already flying on mountain peaks—these can be interacted with directly.

Mounting Your Moth

Once you have a tamed Lunar Moth, right-click it to mount and ride it. The moth serves as a flying mount, allowing you to traverse terrain quickly and reach high areas. Control your moth's movement like any other rideable entity.

Combat Uses

Beyond transportation, you can summon Lunar Moths to protect you using astral spells. They act as allies in combat and can help defend against threats while you maintain distance.
