Locating Desert Structures

Travel to desert and badlands biomes to find ancient ruins generated by the mod. Look for distinctive structures like the Sphinx, Obelisks, and Dovecotes. These structures are partially buried in sand, so scan the landscape carefully from high ground.

Brushing Suspicious Sand

Inside ruins, you'll find suspicious sand blocks containing artifacts. Use a brush to carefully excavate these blocks—this is the same mechanic as vanilla archaeology. Brush slowly to avoid breaking the block and losing its contents.

Collecting Loot and Bundles

Ruins contain various loot chests and custom bundles filled with ancient items, pottery fragments, and unique decorations. Open chests carefully and collect items that interest you. Some loot may be rare or useful for crafting.

Returning to Base

Bring your findings back to your base and display them in your custom pots or on shelves. The artifacts make excellent decorative pieces and can tell the story of your archaeological adventures.
