Combine Weapons and Defense

Create a balanced loadout by pairing your primary melee weapon with appropriate defense gear. Bucklers are lightweight and good for mobile combat, standard Shields provide reliable protection, and the War Door offers maximum defense at the cost of mobility.

Layer Your Arsenal

Consider carrying multiple weapons for different situations. Keep a fast weapon like a Katana or Rapier for quick encounters, and switch to a heavy Greatsword or Odachi when facing tougher mobs. Polearms like Spears work well for keeping groups at bay.

If using mods like Better Combat or Off Hand Combat, you can equip a weapon in each hand for more dynamic fighting. A Dagger in your off-hand pairs well with a larger blade in your main hand, letting you block and counter-attack effectively. Test different combinations during practice fights to find what works best for your reflexes and preferred engagement distance.
