Stack Snow and Leaves on Thin Logs for Winter Builds

Prepare Your Thin Log Structure

Place thin logs where you want snow and leaf effects. Thin logs are narrow enough that you can layer additional blocks on top without visual clipping.

Adding Snow Layers

1. Hold snow layer blocks

2. Place them directly onto thin logs

3. Snow layers will stack in the same block space

4. Layer multiple snow blocks on a single thin log for thicker coverage

Adding Leaves

Hold leaf blocks and place them onto thin logs the same way. Leaves and snow can occupy the same thin log block, creating a snowy, frosted foliage effect.

Design Ideas

  • Create snow-covered branches by stacking snow on diagonal thin logs
  • Build frosted trees by combining leaves and snow on the same logs
  • Make winter fences by placing snow layers on vertical thin log lines
  • Layer different leaf colors with snow for a varied, natural appearance

Compatibility Note

This stacking feature works with most resource packs that modify leaf or snow textures, so your custom packs won't break the layered effect.
