Create a Natural-Looking Tree Branch

Gather Your Materials

Collect thin logs from naturally spawning trees, or craft them by placing regular wood logs into your crafting grid. You'll also need leaves from the same wood type.

Build the Branch Structure

1. Place thin logs in a diagonal or curved line to form the branch shape

2. Vary the angles and lengths to avoid a rigid appearance

3. Leave small gaps between logs if building thinner branches

Add Foliage

Hold leaf blocks and place them directly onto the thin logs. The leaves will stack in the same block space, creating a natural canopy effect. Layer multiple leaf blocks on a single thin log for density.

Tips for Realism

• Taper branches by using fewer logs as you extend outward
• Mix leaf colors if your resource pack supports it
• Attach branches at angles rather than perfectly horizontal
• Use thin logs of different wood types to create visual variety in large trees
