Locate Upgrade Materials in Your World

Terraria upgrade materials are typically found through specific methods—some drop from mobs, others are mined from special blocks, and some may require crafting. Open Just Enough Items and search for the armor set you want. The recipe will clearly show which upgrade material you need.

Use JEI to Track Sources

Click on the upgrade material in JEI and check the "Uses" tab to see where it comes from. This might show mob drops, crafting recipes, or mining locations. Some materials may require you to venture into specific biomes or defeat particular enemies.

Gather Efficiently

Once you know the source, farm or collect the materials you need. If the material is craftable, gather the base ingredients first. Keep extra materials on hand so you can craft multiple armor pieces or experiment with different sets without running out.
