How to Configure Armor Chroma So the HUD Matches Your Resource Pack
Armor Chroma draws its own armor icons, which means it can clash with a resource pack that restyles the vanilla armor bar. The config file is where you reconcile the two.
Finding and editing the config
The mod generates a config file in your instance's config folder the first time you launch with it installed. Open it with any plain text editor. You will find options controlling how the armor display is rendered, including whether the mod's custom rendering is active and how icons are positioned or styled. Change a value, save the file, and restart the game for it to take effect.
Matching a resource pack
If your pack already redraws armor icons and you prefer its look, disable the mod's custom icon rendering so the pack's textures show through. If you want the mod's material and enchantment information but the pack's palette, look for options that control tinting or icon source and adjust them until the HUD stops looking doubled-up or misaligned.
Checking the result
Equip a mixed set — different materials plus one enchanted piece — and watch the bar. You want distinct, readable icons that still sit correctly above your health. If icons overlap or drift, revisit the position-related options rather than guessing at pixel values.
