Setting Up the Lantern Maker

Place down a Lantern Maker block at your base. This is the crafting station for all arcane lanterns in the mod.

Crafting a Lantern

1. Decide which lantern effect you want based on your needs (crop growth, mob control, lighting, etc.)

2. Gather the required catalyst items for that lantern type. Each lantern needs multiple catalysts—check JEI for the exact recipe

3. Place all catalyst items onto the Lantern Maker block

4. Place a vanilla lantern block on top of the catalysts

5. The lantern will be created and drop as a new arcane lantern with its special powers

Finding Recipes

Open JEI (Just Enough Items) and search for the lantern you want to make. The mod does not support REI, so you must use JEI to view all catalyst requirements and recipes. Hover over each lantern type to see exactly which items you need to gather.

Once you have your first lantern, place it near the area where you want its effect to take place—whether that's your farm, animal pen, or base perimeter.
