AppleCore helps mods display consistent food information, so you may see extra tooltip lines when hovering over food. These come from the mods using AppleCore, not from AppleCore alone.
Hover Over Food Items
Open your inventory and hover over a food item. Depending on which mods you have, you may see lines showing hunger restored, saturation, or other food stats. If you see nothing extra, no installed mod is currently using AppleCore to add tooltips.
Understand Hunger vs Saturation
Hunger is the bar that depletes as you act. Saturation is a hidden buffer that drains before hunger does. Mods using AppleCore often show both so you can compare foods properly. A food with high saturation keeps you full longer even if its hunger value looks similar to another food.
Compare Foods Before a Trip
Before exploring or fighting, check tooltips to pick foods with good saturation. This helps you avoid running out of hunger at a bad moment.
If Tooltips Are Missing
Make sure the mod that adds the tooltips is installed and enabled. AppleCore by itself will not add them. If a mod that used to show tooltips stopped, check whether AppleCore or that mod was updated or removed.
