How to Use AppleCore to Change Hunger Mechanics in Your Modpack
AppleCore itself does not add a config screen or items, but it exposes hunger-related behavior that other mods hook into. If you want to change how hunger works in a pack, you usually do it through the mods that depend on AppleCore, not through AppleCore directly.
Find the Mod That Controls Hunger
Look through your mod list for mods that list AppleCore as a dependency. These are the mods that actually add food items, hunger overhauls, or HUD changes. Open their config files (usually in the config folder of your instance) and look for options like hunger rate, food value multipliers, or saturation behavior.
Test Changes in a Safe World
Create a throwaway creative or survival world, then eat a few foods and watch the hunger bar. If a mod lets you adjust hunger depletion, you should see the bar drain faster or slower. If nothing changes, the option you edited may be controlled by a different mod, so check the others that depend on AppleCore.
What AppleCore Itself Does
AppleCore provides the shared code so multiple hunger mods do not conflict. You generally do not edit AppleCore files directly. If a hunger feature is missing entirely, you likely need to add a mod that uses AppleCore rather than configure AppleCore alone.
