Find and Socket Gems into Modded Equipment

Locating Gems

Apothic Compats adds brand new gems designed to work with modded equipment across your modpack. These gems appear in chest loot from supported mods and dimensions. Check loot tables in magic dimensions like The Aether and Twilight Forest, as well as tech mod structures from Applied Energistics 2.

Socketing Gems

Once you have a gem and affixable modded gear, you'll need an enchanting setup. Gems socket into equipment the same way Apotheosis handles gem insertion—through the enchanting interface or anvil, depending on your modpack's configuration.

Not all modded items accept gems by default. Apothic Compats enables socketing on:

• Scythes and staves from Malum
• Dart shooters from The Aether
• Focus items from Ars Nouveau
• Curios slot items like rings and necklaces

If your desired item doesn't accept gems, it may not have compatibility enabled in this mod. Check the item's affixability—if it can receive other Apotheosis affixes, gems should work too.
