Set Up Your First Anvil Crusher
Building the Basic Crusher
Start by placing a solid block as your foundation. Position an anvil directly above it—this will be your crushing surface. Place the material you want to crush on top of the block beneath the anvil.
Dropping the Anvil
To crush materials, you need to drop the anvil onto them. Use a
magnet block positioned above your anvil and connect it to redstone power. When powered, the magnet lifts the anvil upward. When the redstone signal stops, the anvil falls and crushes whatever is below.
You can automate this by using a redstone clock or repeater to create a cycle of lifting and dropping. Each impact will process your materials—rocks become powder, and other blocks break down according to their properties.
Collecting Results
Place a hopper or collection system beneath your crushing area to catch the processed materials as they fall. This lets you build a fully automated crushing line without manually retrieving each batch.
