Combining the Animated Totem Pack With Other Resource Packs
Stacking Packs Without Losing the Animation
Resource packs layer, with higher entries overriding lower ones. To keep the animated totem while using a larger pack that changes terrain, GUI, or other items, place the Animated Totem pack above the bigger pack in the Selected list. The bigger pack supplies everything else, and the totem pack overrides only the totem texture.
When Two Packs Fight Over the Totem
If both packs include a totem texture, only the top one applies. Decide which you prefer and order accordingly. There is no merging of two textures for the same file — the game picks one. If you want the animation but the other pack's totem style, you would need to edit one pack to combine them, which is outside normal in-game options.
Keeping Performance Reasonable
Each animated texture costs a little memory and processing. Stacking many animated packs can add up, especially on lower-end machines. If you notice stuttering, reduce the number of animated packs or disable animation-stripping conflicts. Test your setup in a normal world before relying on it in a hardcore run, so you know the totem renders correctly when it matters. Remember the pack is purely cosmetic — it never changes how or when the totem saves you.
