How to Find and Breed Penguins

Locating Penguins in Cold Biomes

Penguins spawn exclusively in cold biomes such as frozen oceans, ice spikes, and stony shores. They're most active near water, where they hunt for fish. You'll recognize them by their distinctive sliding behavior on ice and their swift swimming.

Breeding Penguins

Unlike capybaras, penguins cannot be tamed, but they can be bred. To breed penguins, gather raw cod, raw salmon, or tropical fish. Hold one of these foods and right-click two penguins in close proximity. Feed both adults until hearts appear above them.

After breeding, a baby penguin will spawn nearby. Baby penguins have smaller models and will stay close to their parents. Penguins will naturally hunt nearby fish and hold them in their mouths before consuming them, making them entertaining to watch as they go about their daily activities in frozen waters.
