Build a Chess Set with Armor Stands

Choose Your Pieces

The pack includes two complete chess sets: Stone pieces and Deepslate pieces. Each set contains all standard chess pieces from Pawn through King, letting you create opposing teams with contrasting colors.

Set Up Your Board

1. Prepare a flat area for your chessboard—use blocks, carpet, or paint to mark the squares

2. Gather armor stands for each piece you need (16 per side for a full set)

3. For each stand, open an anvil and rename it to the specific piece and material (for example: Stone Pawn, Deepslate King)

4. Place the renamed stands on your board in standard chess starting positions

Display Your Game

Arrange the Stone pieces on one side and Deepslate pieces on the other. The contrasting materials make it easy to distinguish teams. You can leave the pieces in place as a permanent decoration or move them to play actual games. The large scale makes them visible from a distance, perfect for centerpiece displays in your world.
