Identify Potion Types by Visual Indicators
Understanding Potion Markings
Almost Vanilla Potions Resource Pack uses consistent visual cues to help you recognize potion effects without opening your inventory or hovering over tooltips.
Red Band = Extended Duration
Long-duration potions feature a red band around the middle of the bottle. This represents redstone and signals that the potion's effect lasts significantly longer than the standard version. Look for this band when you need effects that persist through extended activities like mining or exploration.
Gray Stopper = Level II Potions
Upgraded potions (Level II variants) display a gray stopper at the top of the bottle instead of the standard cork. This visual upgrade indicates increased potency—the effect is stronger than the base version. Gray stoppers make it easy to grab the right strength potion in a crowded inventory.
Color Remains Important
While visual indicators help, the potion's base color still indicates the effect type (red for Strength, blue for Swiftness, etc.). Combine color recognition with the band and stopper details for quick identification at a glance.
Splash and Lingering Variants
These visual indicators apply to splash potions and lingering potions as well, maintaining consistency across all potion types so you can identify them regardless of form.
