Reducing Crosshair Clutter While Mining and Building with Aimz
Some players like the sniper reticle for combat but find it awkward when placing blocks or mining, because the thin lines give less visual feedback about which block face you are targeting. You do not have to choose one or the other permanently.
Toggling Per Activity
1. Open Options → Resource Packs.
2. Move Aimz between Selected and Available depending on what you are doing.
3. Click Done to apply. The change is instant and does not interrupt your world.
This lets you keep the sniper reticle for PvP sessions and swap back to vanilla for large building projects.
Making the Reticle Easier to See
- If the thin lines disappear against busy terrain, lower your GUI Scale or increase it — either can change how crisp the reticle renders.
- Bright backgrounds like snow or sand can wash out a light-colored reticle. Adjusting your Brightness setting in Options can restore contrast.
- Avoid stacking other packs that recolor the HUD on top of Aimz, as they may tint or hide the reticle.
If you frequently switch, keep Aimz near the top of your pack list so re-enabling it is a single click.
