How to Use Blacklist Mode to Keep Specific Spawners Permanent

What Blacklist Mode Does

Blacklist mode is the opposite of whitelist mode: all spawners will break after their spawn limit except the mobs you list in the blacklist. Use this when you want most spawners to be limited but need a few to remain infinite, such as a story-critical spawner or a decorative one.

Set Up the Blacklist

Open the Ageing Spawners config file in the config folder. Change the mode setting to blacklist. Add the mob entries you want to protect from breaking. Each entry should be the mob's registry ID, not its display name. Save the file and restart the game so the change takes effect.

Confirm the Result

Test with two spawners: one for a blacklisted mob and one for a mob that is not listed. The unlisted spawner should break after reaching the configured spawn count, while the blacklisted one should keep spawning indefinitely. If a spawner you wanted to keep breaks anyway, recheck that its mob ID is spelled exactly as the game uses it and that it appears in the blacklist section, not the whitelist section.
