How to Set Different Spawn Limits for Different Mobs

Why Per-Mob Limits Help

A single global spawn limit treats every mob the same, but some mobs are far more valuable to farm than others. Per-mob limits let you give a cheap mob a generous spawn count while cutting a high-value mob off quickly.

Edit the Per-Mob Entries

Open the Ageing Spawners config file in your config folder with a text editor. Find the section that maps mobs to spawn counts. Add an entry for each mob you want to control, using the mob's registry ID as the key and the number of allowed spawns as the value. Mobs you do not list will fall back to the default limit, so set that default too if you want consistent behavior. Save the file.

Restart and Test

Restart the game to load the new values. Place test spawners for two different mobs with different configured limits and let them run. Each should break after its own assigned number of spawns. If a mob ignores its custom value, confirm the registry ID matches exactly and that the entry is in the correct list or map format the config expects. Adjust numbers and restart until the pacing feels right for your pack.
