How to Make Spawners Break After a Set Number of Spawns

Find and Edit the Config

Open your Minecraft instance folder and navigate to the config directory. Locate the Ageing Spawners config file and open it with any plain text editor. Inside you will find the option that controls how many entities a spawner is allowed to produce before it disappears. Set this value to the number of spawns you want each spawner to allow. A lower number means spawners break sooner, which is the main way to limit mob-farm output.

Apply and Test

Save the file and restart the game so the config reloads. Place a spawner in a test world and let it run. Watch how many mobs appear before the spawner vanishes. If it breaks too early or too late, close the game, adjust the number in the config, and restart again. Remember that the count applies per spawner, so every spawner in the world uses the same limit unless you use the per-mob settings described in other guides. This is the quickest way to stop players from farming a single spawner endlessly for experience or drops.
