Detect Graboid Activity

Graboids are massive subterranean worms that tunnel through dirt and sand. They create visible disturbances on the surface—watch for rippling ground and listen for deep rumbling sounds. These creatures are significantly larger and more dangerous than Dirt Dragons, so preparation is essential.

Defensive Preparations

Reinforce your base perimeter. Replace vulnerable dirt and sand blocks with stone, deepslate, or other hard materials that Graboids cannot easily tunnel through. Focus on areas directly beneath your structures.

Create safe zones. Build platforms or rooms on non-tunnelable blocks like obsidian or bedrock-adjacent materials. Graboids cannot breach these effectively.

Stock weapons and armor. Ensure you have quality equipment before venturing into Graboid territory. Melee weapons work better against these creatures than ranged options due to their size.

Combat Strategy

When a Graboid surfaces, attack its exposed tentacles—these are the primary weak points. Stay mobile and avoid being cornered.
