Measure Wind and Weather Conditions
Using the
Anemometer
The Anemometer measures wind speed at your current location. Hold it and check your inventory or use it as a handheld tool to get real-time wind speed readings. Wind speed increases with altitude—higher altitudes experience stronger jet streams that can push your ship faster.
Using the
Wind Vane
The Wind Vane tracks wind direction, showing you which way the wind is blowing. Use both tools together to plan your sailing route and trim your sails for maximum efficiency.
Checking Weather and Air Conditions
Use the command /aeroweather query to see the current regional weather type and intensity. Weather affects wind patterns, visibility, and precipitation. Use /aerowind query to read wind speed, direction, temperature, and air pressure simultaneously.
Manual Wind Control
If you need specific conditions for testing or building, use /aerowind set <speed> <bearing> to manually set wind speed and direction. Use /aeroweather set <type> <intensity> to change regional weather. Reset to natural simulation with /aerowind clear.
