Finding and Lighting Your First Aerial Hell Portal

Locating the Portal

Aerial Hell portals are abandoned structures found in the Overworld. They're typically located in various biomes and may be partially damaged or overgrown. Search across different terrain types and elevations—portals can spawn in plains, forests, and other biome variations. Look for distinctive portal frame structures that stand out from natural terrain.

Repairing and Activating

Once you've found an abandoned portal, you'll need to repair it using the appropriate materials. Examine the portal frame carefully to identify missing or damaged blocks, then replace them with the correct portal blocks. After repairs are complete, light the portal using flint and steel (or equivalent fire-starting method) to activate it.

Entering Safely

When the portal activates and pulls you into Aerial Hell, resist the urge to immediately jump or explore. The dimension consists of small floating islands suspended in the void. Take a moment to orient yourself on solid ground before moving. One wrong step can send you plummeting into the abyss, so move cautiously and consider building a small platform or bridge before venturing further into this dangerous realm.
