Upgrade a Stand to the Next Tier

Gathering Upgrade Materials

To upgrade your stand, you'll need 8 blocks of the next tier material. If upgrading from wood to copper, gather 8 copper blocks. For copper to iron, gather 8 iron blocks, and so on through diamond and netherite.

Performing the Upgrade

Place your 8 blocks in a cube formation around the stand, leaving the center block where the stand sits. The stand will automatically upgrade when the surrounding blocks are correctly positioned. Your item remains on the stand during this process and keeps all repair progress.

Verify the Upgrade

Once upgraded, the stand's appearance will change to reflect the new material tier. Test the repair speed by placing a damaged item on it—higher tier stands repair noticeably faster.

Plan Your Progression

Consider upgrading to iron or diamond stands for significant speed improvements. Netherite stands offer the fastest repairs but require substantial resources to obtain.
