Making Macaw's-Style Building Mods Work Together Without Duplicate or Missing Blocks
When several building mods each register their own bridges, roofs, and fences, you can end up with overlapping entries, missing textures, or blocks that refuse to place. AddonsLib centralises that registration so the mods share one consistent pipeline. Your job as a player is to keep the set consistent.
Keep the family together
1. Install AddonsLib plus every content mod that lists it as a dependency.
2. Do not mix content mods built for different library generations — pick versions that were released around the same time.
3. After launching, open a test world and place one block from each content mod to confirm they all render and connect.
Resolve conflicts
If two mods both try to own the same block ID, one will silently win and the other's block will be missing. Check your loader's log for registration conflicts mentioning the affected block names. Remove or update the offending content mod rather than the library. If a block places but shows a purple-and-black missing texture, the content mod loaded but its assets did not — reinstall that content mod cleanly. AddonsLib will not fix broken assets; it only coordinates registration, so the fix always lives in the content mod, not the library.
