Using Additional Placements to Decorate Walls and Corners
Wall-Mounted Detailing
The mod shines when you want to dress up flat walls. Anything that normally attaches to a single face can now be positioned on the faces you choose, letting you build layered, three-dimensional wall designs.
Steps for a Detailed Wall
1. Build a flat wall of solid blocks.
2. Pick a decorative block such as a stair, slab, or trapdoor.
3. Aim at a side face of a wall block at the height you want the detail.
4. Right-click to attach the block flush against the wall.
5. Repeat at intervals to create a repeating pattern of protruding trim.
6. For corner accents, aim at the exposed side face of the corner block and place your detail there.
Corner and Edge Tricks
- Place blocks on the side faces of corner blocks to wrap trim around a building's edge.
- Use bottom-face placement to add small hanging elements beneath window sills or ledges.
- Alternate between side and bottom placement to build stepped moulding effects.
Things to Watch
- Two blocks cannot occupy the same space, so plan your pattern before filling a wall.
- If a placement preview does not appear, you are likely aiming at a face that is already blocked or at a non-solid surface.
- Sneak while placing to avoid accidentally interacting with functional blocks like chests or doors.
