How to Get Golden Netherite Armor and Stop Piglin Attacks

Combining Gold Rings with Netherite

Golden netherite armor is made by combining gold rings with your existing netherite gear. Craft the gold rings first, then use them as the upgrade addition on netherite armor pieces (helmet, chestplate, leggings, boots) in a smithing table. The result keeps netherite's durability and protection while adding extra enchantment capability, so it is worth enchanting after the upgrade rather than before.

Why It Matters in the Nether

Wearing golden netherite armor makes Piglins non-hostile to you, the same way plain gold armor does, but without giving up netherite-tier defense. This is huge for bastion raiding and bartering, because you can walk through Piglin territory without being swarmed.

Steps

1. Gather netherite ingots and upgrade your diamond armor at a smithing table as usual.

2. Craft the gold rings from gold.

3. Re-open the smithing table and apply the gold rings to each netherite piece.

4. Enchant the finished armor with Protection, Mending, and Unbreaking.

Note that other gold-triggered mob behavior still applies, so avoid provoking Piglins by mining gold or opening chests in front of them.
