How to Get Golden Netherite Armor and Pacify Piglins

Crafting Gold Rings

Golden Netherite armor starts with Gold Rings, a mod-specific crafting component. Craft these by arranging gold ingots in a ring-shaped pattern on a crafting table. You will need one Gold Ring per armor piece you want to upgrade, so plan your gold budget accordingly.

Combining with Netherite in a Smithing Table

Take your existing Netherite armor piece and place it in the base slot of a Smithing Table. Add a Gold Ring in the addition slot. The result is the Golden Netherite variant of that armor piece, which keeps Netherite's protection while gaining new properties.

Why It Matters

The key benefit is that wearing Golden Netherite armor makes Piglins non-hostile toward you, similar to how wearing a piece of gold armor normally works. This means you can walk through Bastions and trade with Piglins without being attacked, all while keeping Netherite-level defense. The armor also tends to have higher enchantment capability, so you can push stronger enchantments onto it than standard Netherite.

Tips

  • Upgrade your chestplate first since it provides the most protection and the Piglin pacification is the main draw.
  • Combine with Protection and Mending for a long-lasting Netherite-tier set.
  • Keep a spare Gold Ring handy in case you want to upgrade boots or helmet later.
