Walking Up Full Blocks Without Pressing Jump

If you installed this mod specifically so you can stop hammering the jump key, here is how to actually get that behavior and confirm it is active.

What Should Happen

With the mod loaded, walking straight into the side of a full block should carry you up onto it automatically, no spacebar required. This applies to natural terrain, stairs made of full blocks, and most placed blocks. You keep your forward momentum instead of stopping dead at the ledge.

If It Is Not Working

First confirm the mod is actually loaded for the world you are in, since mods are per-profile. Next, check your config step height value; if it was set back to the vanilla default, you will still need to jump. Also note that some blocks are intentionally not steppable, such as fences, walls, and other non-full-height shapes, so bumping into those and stopping is expected behavior, not a bug.

Getting the Most Out of It

Combine the mod with normal sprinting to cross uneven terrain quickly. Because you no longer stop at every one-block rise, routes through hills and cave floors become much faster. If a particular spot still blocks you, place a temporary full block as a step, or route around it.
