How to Configure Your Step Height in Accessible Step Mod

The whole point of this mod is that you can tune how tall a ledge your character automatically climbs. If the default feels too low or too high for your base layout, you can change it.

Opening the Config

Most builds of this mod expose their settings through a config file rather than an in-game menu. Look in your instance's config folder for a file named after the mod, and open it with any text editor. If your version ships a Mod Menu or mods-list integration, you can also reach the settings by opening the mods screen and selecting the mod's config button.

Choosing a Value

Find the entry that controls step height. It is expressed in blocks, so a value of one lets you walk up a single full block, and a larger value lets you climb taller ledges in one motion. Raise it gradually and test in-world rather than jumping to a huge number, since very large values can make you snag on terrain or climb walls you did not intend to. Save the file and reload the world (or restart the game) for the change to apply.

Testing the Result

Walk into a single block ledge without jumping. If you rise smoothly, your value is working. Adjust up or down until movement feels natural for how you build.
