Finding Axolotls

Axolotls spawn naturally in water pools within lush caves. They come in five distinct color varieties. Use the /cncbiome command to confirm you're in a lush cave, then search for water sources where these creatures gather. They're most commonly found in shallow pools surrounded by moss and cave vegetation.

Capturing Axolotls

Equip a water bucket and right-click on an axolotl to capture it. The axolotl will be stored in the bucket as a single item. You can then transport it anywhere and place it in water by right-clicking. Axolotls can be kept in small water pools, cauldrons, or any contained water source in your base.

Using Axolotls

Axolotls are valuable combat allies—they attack aquatic mobs like drowned and guardians, dealing damage and helping you survive underwater encounters. Keep them nearby when exploring underwater caves or ocean monuments. They also regenerate health when out of combat, making them reliable long-term companions for deep water exploration.
