Build a Medieval Structure That Showcases Block Details
Choosing Blocks for Maximum Visual Impact
Not all blocks benefit equally from this pack's 3D models.
Stone variants, wooden planks, and metal blocks show the most detail. Avoid large flat surfaces of single blocks—break them up with trim, details, and varied textures to let the pack shine.
Building Techniques
1. Use
stone bricks and
cobblestone for walls—the carved texture is dramatic
2. Add wooden beams and supports to show off the 3D wood grain
3. Include metal details like
iron bars, chains, or
lantern posts for contrast
4. Layer blocks at different depths: place slabs, stairs, and full blocks together so POM and shaders cast varied shadows
5. Build near water or open sky so lighting changes reveal the pack's depth effects
Lighting Your Build
Place lanterns, sea lanterns, and torches strategically. The pack's redesigned
light sources cast realistic glows when paired with shaders. Avoid flooding areas with light—shadows on textured surfaces are where the 3D detail becomes visible. Step back and view your structure from distance to see how the overall aesthetic reads.
