How do I turn on Vantage PVP Shaders?
Put the shader pack file in your shaderpacks folder inside your Minecraft directory. With Iris, open Options > Video Settings > Shader Packs and select it. With OptiFine, go to Options > Video Settings > Shaders and click it in the list.
Does Vantage PVP Shaders work with Iris or only OptiFine?
It runs on both Iris and OptiFine, so use whichever shader loader you already have. Don't install Iris and OptiFine together, because they conflict.
Why isn't Vantage PVP Shaders showing up in my shader list?
Make sure the pack sits directly in the shaderpacks folder and isn't buried inside an extra folder. Also check that Iris or OptiFine is actually loaded, since vanilla Minecraft has no shader menu. Use the button on the Shader Packs screen to open the folder and confirm the pack is there.
Why are caves and night time so much brighter with this shader?
This is intentional. The pack lifts deep shadows so dark corners stay readable and opponents can't hide in low light during fights.
Is Vantage PVP Shaders basically x-ray?
No. It only brightens and sharpens what is already on your screen, and it can't show players or ores through solid blocks. It makes dark spots visible, not walls transparent.
Do servers need Vantage PVP Shaders installed?
No. Shaders are purely client-side visuals, so only you need it and the server never sees it. Some PVP servers have their own rules about visual mods, so check them if you're unsure.
My FPS dropped after turning on the shader, how do I fix it?
Lower your render distance first, since that has the biggest impact with any shader. Then close heavy background programs. If you use Iris, pairing it with Sodium usually gives smoother frame rates in fast fights.
Will this shader make Minecraft look completely different?
No. It keeps a vanilla-like feel while adding vivid color tones, cleaner textures and outlines, and nicer water. Player models stand out more without the screen getting cluttered.
Do torches give off colored light with Vantage PVP Shaders?
Yes. Torches and other light sources cast colored lighting on the blocks around them. This works well for lighting up a base or making lit areas easy to read at night.
Does Vantage PVP Shaders have water reflections?
Yes. Water gets clean reflections, and many surfaces get semi-realistic detail. These effects stay subtle so they don't distract you during combat.
