How do I turn on PKFL Visuals?
With Iris, open Options > Video Settings > Shader Packs, click PKFL Visuals in the list, then click Apply or Done. With OptiFine, go to Options > Video Settings > Shaders and click PKFL Visuals. The world reloads with the new lighting once it's selected.
Does PKFL Visuals work with Iris or just OptiFine?
It runs as a standard shader pack, so you can load it through either Iris or OptiFine. Use whichever loader you already have installed. You only need one of them, not both.
I selected PKFL Visuals but my game still looks like vanilla, what's wrong?
First check that the pack shows as active in the shader menu and that you clicked Apply. If you use Iris, make sure shaders weren't toggled off with the shader keybind. Also confirm the pack file is in the shaderpacks folder and not inside an extra folder, because the loader can't read it there.
How do I get better FPS with PKFL Visuals?
Lower your render distance first, since that has the biggest impact with shaders running. Then open the pack's settings from the shader menu and turn down the heavier effects. Closing background programs and giving the game enough RAM also helps keep framerates steady.
Does PKFL Visuals make blocks hard to see or blurry?
No. The pack is designed to keep blocks clean and easy to read during normal play. It adds natural lighting and a soft fantasy tone without hiding block textures.
Is PKFL Visuals super realistic or does it still look like Minecraft?

Can I use PKFL Visuals with a resource pack?

Do other players or the server need PKFL Visuals installed?
No. Shaders are purely client-side visuals, so they only affect what you see. You can use the pack on any server, and other players don't need it.

Place light sources so warm light spills onto your walls and floors instead of lighting everything evenly. Leave a few darker corners for contrast, and check your build at night or in shade, where the pack's lighting looks its best.
