Viking Armory Resource Pack FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I turn on Viking Armory?
Open Options, then Resource Packs, move Viking Armory from the Available list to the Selected list, and click Done. Put on any armor piece or place it on an armor stand. If you see Norse-style models instead of the vanilla ones, the pack is working.
I enabled the pack but my armor still looks vanilla, what's wrong?
First check that Viking Armory is actually in the Selected column and not just Available. If another resource pack that changes armor sits above it in the list, that pack wins. Move Viking Armory higher in the order.
Does Viking Armory change armor protection or durability?
No. It's a resource pack, so it only replaces how armor looks. Every piece keeps its normal vanilla stats, crafting and behavior.
Will other players on my server see the Viking armor?
Only if they have the pack enabled themselves. Resource packs change visuals on your own client, so a player without it will see normal vanilla armor.
What does iron armor look like with this pack?
Iron armor becomes a lamellar set. The helmet is a northern-style design with chainmail hanging down the sides.
Why does copper armor look like rusty iron armor?
That's intended. Copper suits use a corroded, rusted version of the iron lamellar set, so they share a shape but have a weathered finish.
Why do zombies and skeletons in gold armor look cracked and rusty?
Gold gear normally appears as ceremonial ritual wear. When undead mobs wear it, it shows a cracked, rusty version instead. This helps you spot an undead in gold armor at a glance.
Which Viking set covers the face?
Diamond armor. It becomes full scale armor with mail covering the face and draping over the chest.
What does netherite armor turn into?
Netherite becomes a fierce warrior outfit inspired by fantasy raiders. It's the most aggressive-looking set in the pack.
What's the easiest way to compare all the Viking armor sets?
Place a row of armor stands and give each one a full set of a different tier: leather, chainmail, copper, iron, gold, diamond and netherite. This lets you see every design side by side and pick the look you want for your character.
