Entity Activation Range reduces the distance at which mobs and entities process their AI and behavior when players aren't nearby. This prevents distant mobs from consuming server resources, significantly cutting lag from large mob farms or spawning areas.

ServerCore's villager lobotomization feature disables unnecessary AI for villagers that aren't actively trading, reducing their performance impact. You can also adjust breeding caps through `/servercore settings` to prevent excessive villager breeding in confined spaces.

Chunk-tick distance controls how far from players chunks are actively processed and updated by the server, while render distance is client-side. ServerCore dynamically adjusts chunk-tick distance to balance performance without affecting what players see.

Use `/mobcaps` to view per-player spawn limits for each mob category. ServerCore enforces these caps to prevent any single area from becoming overcrowded with mobs, which is a major source of lag on multiplayer servers.

ServerCore optimizes mob spawning rather than preventing it, so well-designed farms should still function. However, breeding caps and entity activation ranges may reduce spawn rates in extremely dense setups—adjust these settings if your farm underperforms.

ServerCore is designed to work alongside other mods, but running multiple heavy optimization mods may cause conflicts or unpredictable behavior. Test your mod combination on a test server first to ensure compatibility.
