What does the requestify mod actually do?
It adds a Requester block that keeps a set amount of an item in your Refined Storage network by automatically submitting crafting requests when stock drops, and a Crafting Emitter that sends a redstone signal or triggers a request when a craft finishes. Together they let you automate on-demand crafting without manually opening the crafting grid.
How do I get started with requestify?
Craft a Requester and place it against your Refined Storage network so it connects to the controller or a network cable. Open its interface, pick the item you want stocked, and set the quantity you want maintained. As long as the pattern for that item exists in a connected crafting monitor or crafting grid, the Requester will handle the rest.
How does the requester know when to request more items?
The Requester continuously checks how many of the configured item are stored in the network. When the count falls below the amount you set, it submits a crafting request for the difference. It won't spam requests while a craft for that item is already in progress.
What is the crafting emitter for?
The Crafting Emitter outputs a redstone signal (or triggers a configured action) when a crafting task finishes. Players use it to chain crafts together, start a second Requester, or fire off redstone-driven machines once a batch is done.
Why isn't my requester crafting anything?
The most common causes are: no pattern for that item in a connected crafting monitor, the Requester not being connected to the network, or the item already being at or above the target amount. Check that the pattern exists, the block is on the network, and the target quantity is higher than current stock.
Can requestify keep a minimum stock of multiple items at once?
Yes. You can add multiple entries to a single Requester, each with its own item and target quantity. Each entry is tracked independently, so the Requester will top up whichever item drops below its threshold.
Does the requester work with fluids or only items?
It's built around Refined Storage's item and crafting system, so it's designed for craftable items. Fluids and other non-craftable resources aren't handled the same way unless your network exposes them as craftable through a pattern.
How do I stop the requester from over-crafting?
Set the target quantity to the amount you actually want on hand, and remember the Requester only requests the shortfall, not a full batch. If a recipe produces more than one item per craft, factor that into your target so you don't end up with surplus.
Can I use requestify with other Refined Storage addons?
Yes, it works alongside other Refined Storage addons as long as they expose their crafting through the standard network crafting system. If an addon uses a non-standard crafting path, the Requester may not see those patterns.
Does requestify cause lag on big networks?
The Requester polls the network for stock counts, so on very large networks with many Requesters you may see some tick cost. Keeping the number of active Requesters reasonable and avoiding extremely short polling intervals helps keep performance smooth.
What does the Refined Storage Requestify Mod do?
It extends Refined Storage by automatically keeping your system stocked with craftable items. It adds a Requester block that creates crafting jobs when your stock of a chosen item runs low.
What blocks does Refined Storage Requestify add?
It adds the Requester and the Crafting Emitter. The Requester keeps a set amount of one item stocked, and the Crafting Emitter sends a redstone signal when a specific item is being crafted.
What is the Requester in Refined Storage Requestify?
The Requester is an RS network block where you specify how many of one item you want kept in your system. It automatically creates crafting jobs to reach that amount.
What is the Crafting Emitter in Refined Storage Requestify?
The Crafting Emitter sends out a redstone signal when a specific item is being crafted. It is one of the two blocks the mod registers.
Which Minecraft versions does Refined Storage Requestify support?
The mod supports Minecraft 1.16.4, 1.16.5, 1.18.1, 1.18.2, 1.19.2 and 1.20.1.
Does Refined Storage Requestify require Refined Storage?
Yes, it is an addon to Refined Storage. The Requester is a Refined Storage network block, so Refined Storage is needed for it to work.
How do I make the Requester craft more items at once?
Adding more stack upgrades to a Requester allows it to craft more items at once.
Can I change the maximum crafting batch size in Refined Storage Requestify?
Yes, the config has a MAX_CRAFT_AMOUNT option, which defaults to 1000. In versions before 1.21 you can set the maximum size for crafting batches there, and the Requester will still reach the desired amount using smaller batches.
How many items can the Requester keep stocked?
You specify how many of one item you want kept in your system, for example a stack of chests. The Requester then creates crafting jobs automatically to maintain that amount.
