Mining Gadgets Mod FAQ

Mining Gadgets MK1, MK2, and MK3 are all made through crafting_shaped recipes. The MK1 is the base gadget, and higher tiers are crafted from lower-tier gadgets.

Place a Modification Table and use it to apply upgrade modules to your Mining Gadget. Blank Upgrade Modules are the base item used to craft specific upgrades.

Install a Battery upgrade (Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3, or Creative Battery) into the gadget to store and provide energy. The Creative Battery upgrade provides unlimited charge.

These upgrades expand the area the Mining Gadget mines per use. Upgrade: 3x3, Upgrade: 5x5, and Upgrade: 7x7 each increase the mining footprint respectively.

Upgrade: Range Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 extend the distance at which the Mining Gadget can operate. Higher tiers provide greater reach.

Upgrade: Efficiency Tier 1 through Tier 5 improve the gadget's mining speed or energy efficiency. Higher tiers give stronger effects.

Upgrade: Fortune Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 apply Fortune-like bonuses to blocks mined by the gadget. Higher tiers increase the bonus level.

Upgrade: Silk touch makes the Mining Gadget harvest blocks as if using a Silk Touch tool. This preserves blocks like ore and glass in their original form.

Upgrade: Magnet pulls mined drops toward the player. This helps collect items without walking over each block.

Upgrade: Void Junk destroys unwanted blocks or drops instead of collecting them. Useful for clearing junk materials while mining.

Upgrade: Freezing applies a freezing effect to mined blocks or nearby entities. It changes how certain blocks or mobs behave when the gadget is used.

Miner's Light is a placeable block that provides illumination. It can also be placed via the Upgrade: Light Placer installed on a Mining Gadget.
