Use the Wood To Iron upgrade item in a crafting recipe with a Wood Barrel to convert it into an Iron Barrel. The upgrade items are the tier-conversion components for the barrel progression.

The upgrade items are Wood To Copper, Wood To Iron, Wood To Silver, Wood To Gold, Wood To Diamond, Wood To Obsidian, Copper To Iron, Copper To Silver, Iron To Gold, Iron To Silver, Silver To Gold, Silver To Diamond, Gold To Diamond, Diamond To Crystal, and Diamond To Obsidian.

The Netherite Barrel is a block in the mod, but no upgrade item in the registry converts to it directly. Check the smithing_transform recipe, which is the only smithing recipe present.

It converts a Diamond Barrel into a Crystal Barrel via a crafting recipe. Use it when you want to move from the Diamond tier to the Crystal tier.

Combine the Copper Barrel with the Copper To Iron upgrade item in a crafting recipe. The result is an Iron Barrel.

Use either the Wood To Silver or Copper To Silver upgrade item in a crafting recipe with the corresponding lower-tier barrel. Both upgrade paths produce a Silver Barrel.
