The mod's magic system is based on spirit binding, complex chalk diagrams, and permanent player rituals that allow you to interact with spirits dwelling inside blocks and items.

You craft the Essentials guide book using vanilla crafting materials to learn basic instructions, then craft colored chalk and draw diagrams on flat surfaces to prepare ritual circles.

The Big Three Rituals are Implement Ceremony (bonding with gear for permanent bonuses), Familiar Binding (binding a creature as a lifelong partner), and Demesne Claim (claiming a territory that boosts your magical capabilities).
