Common Issues And How To Solve Them
This list contains some common issues and their solutions. This list will be updated as we release more updates and as we solve issues, and old issues have been removed to keep the list current.
Issue: Crafting Quartz blocks doesn't work / Polished Quartz shares the same recipe as regular Quartz blocks / Purpur blocks smelt into themselves and not smooth purpur
More Information: Because we generate nearly all of our models, blockstates, and recipes using a program, it is more likely for something like this to slip through without us noticing. If you find a broken recipe, please let us know!
Solution: This is an issue with 0.4.0. Make sure you are using at least 0.4.1, as this version has a solution to the performance issue. Always try to be on the latest version, as we tend to drop support for older updates fairly quickly once a new one has entered development.
Solution: Sometimes, we'll refactor or remove some of our older blocks to use item IDs that were more consistent to our current naming scheme/the vanilla names. By doing so, we had to deprecate a lot of blocks with the old IDs.
More Information: Don't worry - your blocks are not lost! By placing the deprecated blocks, you can convert them to the new versions. Deprecated blocks that have already been placed may still need to be converted, however this should not be an issue if you are playing a version released after 0.3. As of 0.5.2, all deprecated blocks are removed, so if you still happen to be using a world from before 0.3, make sure you fix any deprecated blocks you do not want to lose.
Solution: If you're using Forge, you likely forgot to install Stonecutter Recipe Tags. On Fabric, SCRT is included by default, but needs to be installed manually on Forge.
More Information: 0.4.2 now uses Architectury to support Forge and Fabric using shared code and assets, but they are both different enough to cause problems. One of these is not being able to include SCRT in the mod by default on Forge, meaning that Forge users have to manually download and add it to their mods folder.
Solution: This is an issue with C+ 0.5.1, and is fixed in 0.5.2.
More Information: So apparently this has been broken for almost a year, and was the result of another fix. I guess nobody's built with our copper blocks in so long that this remained undiscovered until recently...
Solution: This is another 0.5.1 issue, although the crash is Quilt exclusive and has been fixed in 0.5.2.
More Information: The stonecutter is haunted, or at least that's what Jay says. At this point I too am a believer.
